The Clash were an English punk rock band formed in 1976 as part of the original wave of British punk. In The Clash’s heyday, the band was made up of Joe Strummer, Mick Jones, Paul Simonon and Nicky Headon. Their self-titled debut album released in 1977 sold fantastically in the UK. Their third album ‘London Calling’ was declared the best album of the 1980’s by Rolling Stone magazine. Money didn’t matter to The Clash, they just wanted to teach a new way of feeling, thinking, being to their fans. They are a pillar for modern day rock.
