The Stone Roses formed in 1985, with singer Ian Brown, drummer John Squire and guitarists John Squire and Gary Mountfield. The Manchester band started performing in local warehouses and clubs on the house music scene. Their music was a combination of 60’s guitar music, 80’s dance beats and a bit of goth rock. Their first LP is ranked as one of the greatest debut albums of all time as it helped them become an English sensation.
